Watched this pair of Treecreepers busy nest building, in what will hopefully be a successful site.

Brownsea Island
11th April 2017
A good day in Dorset visiting Brownsea Island, where from one of the hides some waders were showing really well, mostly Black Tailed Godwits ( in near summer plumage) ,Greenshank, Oystercatcher and a splendid summer plumaged Spotted Redshank, easily the best view I've had. Oh and the resident Red Squirrels eventually showed up as well.

Glenelg, Scotland
March 18th- April 1st.
Two weeks with Joyce at Glenelg ( same backwards as forwards you know -a palindrome) on the west coast of Scotland , with the Isle of Skye just across the sound of Sleat, and stunning scenery around every corner, with a mix of beautiful warm sunny days and proper snow . Wildlife wasn't exactly easy but with a Pine Marten ( a first for me) and a Badger regular visitors to the windowsill supply of peanut butter sandwiches and sightings of Otter , Porpoise and other more common species, a very good couple of weeks were enjoyed and well worth the very long drive from the Devon/Cornwall border.
