Poland. White Storks.
You cant fail to see White Storks in Poland, with every village having at least one pair occupying their nests on telegraph poles and rooftops as well as specially made platforms. It was good to return to the Pentowo Stork village where a tower platform overlooks many nesting pairs.Love'em.

Poland. Woodpeckers.
Eastern Europe is always good for Woodpeckers and the trip to Poland did'nt disappoint with Middle Spotted and Black seen at their nest sites as well as Great Spotted and Wryneck, White Backed was heard but Grey Headed and Three Toed still continue to elude me, will just have to return another time.

Poland. Birds of Prey.
Poland delivered on the raptor front with sightings of both Great Spotted and Lesser Spotted Eagles as well as Honey Buzzard, Common Buzzard ,Montague's and Marsh Harrier and Kestrel. Nice to see the Eagles well as they flew directly overhead giving the chance for some photos , the Great Spotted being a new bird for me. The Honey Buzzard flew through a clearing in the forest giving a brief opportunity for a quick pic.

Poland. Black Terns.
Just come back from an enjoyable week in Poland, visiting the Biebraza National Park and the Bialowieza forest areas. Lots of great species seen , but I think my favourites were the Marsh Terns, with both Black nad White Winged at close quarters. Here are a few Black Tern photos to go on with.
