Stover Park

A day spent at Stover Park near Bovey Tracey in Devon always turns out to be a good day ,with commoner species easy  to see  & photograph close up ,and the chance of something unusual..Also its very well managed with a good balance between creating habitat for wildlife and providing a nice place for people to enjoy, with no kids play areas or cafe's to make it too crowded. ( though I still try to avoid weekends )

I went on this occasion to try and photograph the Great Grested Grebes performing thier courtship dance , but although I saw this , it was on the oppisite end of the lake and so I did.nt get any decent shots ( but still nice to see ) I did watch a Buzzard catching Frogs though and got a couple of record shots only, as I had to photograph it through a hedge, which was a real shame as they could of been quite good. But a nice day out doing what I like doing best.
