Emperor Dragonfly (Anax imperator)

I found this Emperor Dragonfly ovipositing on aquatic vegitation close to the surface on one of the pools at Davidstow in Cornwall , I must have looked a bit odd as I took off my shoes and socks and rolled up my trousers to wade into the water with my tripod and camera, but it had to be done.
