Brownsea Island
Back in June we visited Brownsea Island in Dorset mainly to photograph the nesting Terns again, you just cant help firing off shots as they fly close to the hide to feed their young. Both Sandwich and Common Terns breed here plus a few Black Headed Gulls. A little early this time for waders with only Oystercatchers being present. On or two Med Gulls also put in an appearance. It was sad to see some Terns and Gulls were obviously the victims of bird flu ,( the island actually closed to visitors a couple of days later). But another good day .
